Not far away is La Cala de Mijas (8 km), a seaside village, again with many restaurants, (including o­ne of my favourites - Mijas Playa), a few shops and a lovely beach. A short distance inland is La Cala golf and country club; several more courses including Miraflores, Mijas golf, Santa Maria, Rio Real etc are all within a 15-minute drive. Sophisticated Marbella with its designer shops and jet-set Puerto Banus (the best place to people watch!) are o­nly a 25-minute drive.

Casa de la Milleflores is also well situated for those seeking a cultural holiday ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is o­ne not to be missed, and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. Cordoba and Sevilla are also both easily accessible with a hire car or by coach.
