The newly appointed Director of the soon to open El Chaparral Golf course at La Cala De Mijas,

Snr. Jose Luis Aranguren, is pleased to announce;

The long awaited opening of El Chaparral golf course is now scheduled to take place in September of 2005.

In July 2005 prior to the full opening we will see the opening of the Pro shop, the golf driving range, golf academy, and a splendid 150 seater restaurant & bar with separate conference facilities for up to 30 persons. The restaurant will be operated by a well known local restauranteur from Torremolinos and the Golf Academy by a famous name in Golf - both to be announced shortly.

We had the opportunity to view the facilities during a recent visit to El Chaparral and can report first hand that the restaurant is very close to being ready to receive its first customers.



The El Chaparral golf course will comprise 18 holes - 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5.

The club will be open to all - no membership is required and the green fees are;



High season October 1st to May 31st - Euros 65.00 per round

Low season June 1st to September 30th - Euros 45.00 per round

Buggies may be hired at Euros 30.00 per round
