I was at the Airport the other day waiting to meet someone and the flight was delayed ( nothing new there I hear you say). Whilst waiting I was watching the new arrivals propelling their trolleys into the arrival area. What do people have in all those suitcases??? Some were the size of small pianos and piles of them, are they smuggling furniture?
I've always been a one suitcase man.....even for six weeks in Australia. I really would like to see what was inside those huge suitcases....any ideas? : icon_confused.gif

Heinz Baked Beans, Hovis Bread, bacon, Cadbury's chocolate - all the stuff they think they can't get in Spain icon_lol.gif

Although I have to admit we took a huge case with us last week for a 4 day stay, but we had a good excuse - it was full of stuff we were going to leave at our apartment icon_smile.gif

I get such a kick by arriving at Manchester airport with hand luggage for our stay in Spain and watching the rest of the travelers lugging all their worldly goods behind them in overloaded suitcases. It's even better in Malaga airport when we walk past them and head straight to the head of the line for the car hire...... the joys of having our own place in the sun.

I agree it great to land and not wait, but i find the traffic on the M56 a real drag after the roads to the airport in Spain icon_cool.gif

When we flew to Mexico soon after the foot and mouth epidemic, the authorities were searching all cases, not for drugs or guns but dairy products (although the epidemic was long over in the UK nobody had told them). What amazed me were the number of packets of cheese they were finding, the floor under the table was strewn with packets of English Cheddar. All that fantastic Mexican food and they bring their own cheese!
